Ever felt rushed through an eye test?
Yarra Junction Optical provides comprehensive eye examinations lasting 40 minutes for adult eye examinations.
There is no preliminary testing performed by Optical Dispensers; you're completely taken care of by your Optometrist through all steps of your testing.
This means you receive the highest standard of care and dedication from our Optometrists.
What happens in an eye test?
During your eye test, your Optometrist will assess your vision and any prescription that may be required. They will ask you about your day to day activities, work and hobbies to ascertain how this may affect your vision.
They will then assess the health of your eyes to rule out or monitor any eye conditions that may be present such as Macula Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataracts and more. Your Optometrist will let you know whether you require any correction with glasses and/or contact lenses, and any treatment or further eye testing that may be required.
If you require glasses or contact lenses your Optometrist will advise you what will be the most suitable for you. They will then pass this information on to one of our experienced Optical Dispensers so they can help you through the process of choosing a frame.
We bulk bill the majority of our eye examinations. Where any additional testing is recommended, it is entirely up to you if you want to go ahead with the tests at a small additional fee.
